The Laughing Sorrow of Guido the Clown

In the center ring, under the big top's light,

Guido the Clown performs, his face painted bright.

His painted smile, never fading or cracking,

But oh, the burden he carries, silently stacking.

To the world, he's the jester, the comic relief,

But inside, his heart aches with hidden grief.

With a tear-streaked face and a heavy heart,

Guido must keep his sorrows apart.

Anxious thoughts, worries, and troubles untold,

In his colorful guise, they must all be controlled.

For the show must go on, the laughter must ring,

Guido must dance and pretend he's a king.

Through his painted tears and behind his laughter,

Guido the Clown hides his pain ever after.

To his audience, he's a whimsical delight,

But in the shadows, he battles the night.

So here's to Guido, the clown with a frown,

Who keeps his true feelings tightly wound.

In the circus of life, he plays his part,

But beneath the mask, lies a heavy heart.
