 The Clown's Silent Tears

In a small town under the wide, cerulean sky,

Lived a clown named Guido, with a sparkle in his eye.

His suit of many colors, his nose a cherry bright,

He danced and joked under the circus spotlight.

Guido, oh Guido, with laughter in his step,

Carried hidden sorrows, deep secrets he has kept.

For beneath the painted smile and the jolly facade,

Lay a heart that was weary, a soul that was sad.

He juggled and tumbled, with grace and with flair,

Creating joy and wonder out of thin air.

But when the tents were folded, and the crowd was gone,

Guido was left in the silence, profoundly alone.

"Be cheerful, dear Guido," he’d whisper to himself,

"Your troubles must be tucked away, high upon a shelf."

For the world sought his laughter, a balm for their woes,

Unseeing the tears that, behind closed doors, freely flowed.

Even when his magic seemed not to suffice,

To bring out the smiles, or to sparkle the eyes,

Guido felt a pang, a tightness in his chest,

For making others happy, was his ultimate quest.

Yet, in his quiet moments, under the moon’s gentle glow,

Guido would allow his true feelings to show.

In the solitude of night, he didn’t need to pretend,

With the stars as his audience, his broken heart could mend.

He knew the gift of laughter was a noble, worthy cause,

So he’d rise with the sun, without a moment’s pause.

With every new dawn, his resolve would solidify,

To be the beacon of joy, under the vast, infinite sky.

So remember our Guido, in his suit of bright hue,

A clown who laughed, and cried, just like me and you.

Let his story remind us, in our quest to be kind,

That it's okay to be human, with the heartaches we find.

For Guido’s tale is more than just a circus act played,

It's a poignant reminder of the light and the shade.

In the laughter and joy, in the tears we try to hide,

Lies the true strength of spirit, the undying human pride.
