In my silence

In the silence I find solace,

I relish in the tranquility within me.

When I am quiet, please don't disturb,

For within lies a lion waiting to surge.

I choose my words with careful grace,

Knowing the power they possess in every space.

Don't wake the lion inside my soul,

For regret may be the aftermath, taking its toll.

Like Umar bin Khattab wisely said,

"I never regret my moments of silence," he pled.

But numerous times, I've regretted my speech,

Words unleashed, with consequences reaching deep.

Let me dwell in the serenity of silence's embrace,

Where peace resides and turmoil finds no place.

Safe from conflict and strife's fiery pyre,

Within the stillness, let my spirit transpire.
